Primero fue Cherry Sport, después Cherry Mum y ahora llega la colección Otoño/invierno 2012-2013 de Intima Cherry, una colección cálida basada en los malva, granates y nude con pequeños detalles que la hacen especial.
Frunces, encaje, ligeros estampados y formas balconette inundan los conjuntos de ropa interior, mientras que los pijamas se presentan estructurados alrededor de su pilar principal, el confort.
Además Intima Cherry ha vuelto a poner a las futuras mamás en su punto de mira diseñando para ellas unos conjuntos de ropa interior en los que la delicadeza y la finura siguen estando presentes, alcanzando un nuevo nivel gracias a pequeños lazos y dibujos realizados con la propia tela.

“Boys will be boys” de Panic! at the disco sonó en mi cabeza la primera vez que vi estas fotografías de Magdalena Frackowiak, y no es de extrañar, si bien estamos más que acostumbrados a ver a la top model caminando sobre imposibles zapatos de tacón y luciendo impresionantes vestidos esta vez la revista polaca Pani ha sacado a relucir su faceta más masculina; Un bonito guiño al estilo tomboy del que Magdalena ha salido más que airosa.

Fendi praises the beauty of the models with some color under their eyes

Las semanas de la moda se suceden, las tendencias comienzan a tomar forma y las modelos parecen tener el don de la ubicuidad, pero entre todo esa vorágine de diseños, paletas cromáticas y cortes imposibles siempre hay pequeños detalles que consiguen llamar mi atención especialmente.

Lo hizo esta fotografía del backstage de Alexander Wang en NYFW y ahora lo han hecho estas del backstage de Fendi, show que ha tenido lugar durante la Semana de la Moda de Milán.

La geometría de inspiración étnica de sus diseños logró traspasar las fronteras e instalarse bajo las pestañas de las modelos, consiguiendo que esta mezcla con sus a veces casi cinceladas facciones cautivaran a los fotógrafos, y por qué no, a mí también.

Fashion weeks are following one another, trends start taking shape and models seem to have the gift for being everywhere at once, but among this hustle and bustle of designs, chromatic palettes and impossible cuts there are always small details that attract my attention.

Some days ago it did this photograph taken on the backstage of Alexander Wang in NYFW, and now these other ones taken in the backstage of Fendi have done it again.

The ethnic geometry of its designs managed to cross the barriers and settle down under the eyelashes of the models, achieving that this mixture with their almost chiseled features captivate the photographers, and why not, me as well.

Antes de continuar leyendo pensad un poco, ¿Veis las polaroids de los vestidos y zapatos? Bien, ¿Podríais decirme de dónde son o si habéis visto algo similar en las tiendas? Vale, ahora continuad.

Siendo sincera hasta hace unos meses apenas sabía algo acerca de la que es la e-shop alemana por excelencia, pero a día de hoy no puedo negar la evidencia, estoy cayendo en sus redes tras probar a realizar una compra en su completísima web y de la que aseguro no tengo pega alguna, estoy hablando de Zalando, tienda sobre la que ya publiqué hace un tiempo y que no me canso de visitar desde que la descubrí.

Verdaderamente los artículos tienen una calidad espectacular, están llenos de detalles y tienen un je ne sais quoi que consigue diferenciarlos de la moda a pie de calle, es decir, de las tiendas físicas en las que estamos acostumbrados a comprar, un claro ejemplo de ellos son los botines y zapatos de salón que podéis ver más abajo, unos diseños originales que pueden ser la marca de distinción de un look, sin duda alguna un gran punto a favor de la start-up berlinesa.
Descuentos, ofertas y buenos precios acompañan a esas prendas de las que os hablo, prendas que son su seña en su país de origen, Alemania, y que ha conseguido conquistar en apenas dos años, pero tranquilos, la tienda online acaba de aterrizar en España donde tal y como asegura la web Modaes.es no descartan abrir una oficina, aunque afirman que de momento se trata sólo de una idea.

Y ¡Aún hay más! Esta plataforma online ha decidido apostar por su propia marca lanzando Zalando Collection, de la que no hay artículo que no me guste; Para ver su colección Camper entra aquí.

If I have to be sincere some months ago I barely knew something about which is the German e-shop par excellence, but nowadays I can’t deny what is evident, I am falling into its clutches after shopping through its web of which I have no objection, I am talking about Zalando, shop about I have already written a post and which I usually visit since I discovered it.

Truthfully the items are top-quality products, they are full of details and have a je ne sais quoi that differentiate between them and the fashion sold on the street, I mean, on the common shops we are used to buy clothes and so on, a clear example of it are the booties and shoes you can see behind these lines, which are borne out by amazing desings and that can be the spot of distinction of an outfit; Another great spot in favor of the Berliner shop.
Discounts, special offers and good prices accompany those items I am writing about, cloth items that are its symbols of identity in its origin country, Germany, and which has conquered in a couple of years, but relax and breath, the online shop has just landed in Spain where don’t rule out to open an office, as Modaes.es asserts, although they declare it is just an idea.

Ruby Jean Wilson, the new Marc Jacob's muse

Dieciocho años, australiana y musa de Marc Jacobs, esa es Ruby Jean Wilson, el nuevo ojito derecho del diseñador norteamericano.

Debutó en el cuadro internacional de la mano de Lacoste un año después de que firmase su primer contrato con la agencia Priscillas, y ahora, tres años después de su salto a las pasarelas agencias como Elite y Ford la arropan en París y Nueva York respectivamente.
Revistas como i-D, Dazed & Confused, Teen Vogue o Interview Rusia la han acogido entre sus páginas y tras llevar el apellido “Exclusiva” en los desfiles de YSL y Theysenks Theory O/I 2012-2013, tomarse un breve descanso y alguna que otra modificación en su apariencia – ¡Ahora es rubia! – ha conseguido llamar la atención de Marc Jacobs, y como no podía ser de otra manera ha abierto y cerrado su desfile de la colección P/V 2013.
¿Estaremos ante una futura it model? Camino de ello lleva, desde luego.

El verano ha llegado a su fin, sí, es un hecho, pero aún quedan algunos coletazos de él, por ejemplo esta portada del último número de i-D en la que la modelo y socialité británica Edie Campbell ha conseguido transmitir perfectamente el sentido de la palabra “Grateful” – Gracioso o lleno de gracia –, porque como sostiene el dicho ¡Al mal tiempo, buena cara!

Atrás quedaron los años en los que las zapatillas estaban únicamente relacionadas con el deporte, sin embargo hoy en día las cosas han cambiado y al igual que en los 90’s la moda se ha vuelto un poco más flexible aceptando que ni los stilettos son la clave de la elegancia ni las sneakers están exclusivamente vinculadas al ámbito deportivo, cosa que Isabel Marant sabe muy bien.

Es curioso ver como de vez en cuando el oligopolio formado por un pequeño grupo de selectas firmas pierde un poco su hegemonía a favor de nuevas marcas.
No estoy hablando de Gucci ni de Chanel, o tal vez sí, quizá la aparición en escena de marcas venidas desde el otro lado del mundo resquebraje la coraza hasta ahora casi inquebrantable tras la que se esconden estas famosas maisons, y quizá la incursión de O’2nd en el mercado americano sea solo el comienzo.

De origen koreano y con la dulzura y feminidad como estandarte O’2nd ha surcado el océano para imponerse, tanto es así que Barneys le ha abierto las puertas dando un voto de confianza a sus inesperadas combinaciones de colores y texturas, todo un festival de creatividad que el próximo año ocupará las estanterías y perchas de su propia tienda en territorio norteamericano.

El American dream parece estar cada vez más cerca de hacerse realidad para esta firma líder en el mercado chino y koreano, cosa que no es de extrañar teniendo en cuenta su carta de presentación, el lookbook Otoño/Invierno 2012-2013 fotografiado por Tim Walkers en el que las modelos Daphne Groeneveld y Elza Luijendijk lucen diseños en gris, nude, burgundy, colores pastel y diferentes tonos azules, creando una admirable limpieza visual.

Un voyage au pays des merveilles - Hermès exposition, 1997 - 1998 Tokyo

Dicen que son modelos casi únicos y que sus unidades son más que limitadas, pero si hay un bolso de plexiglás que realmente merece llevarse el título de bolso it, ese es sin duda la remasterización del Kelly que Hermès entregó a los visitantes que acudieron a “Hermès, un voyage au pays des merveilles”, exposición que tuvo lugar en Tokio, Japón entre los años 1997 y 1998.

Se pueden encontrar algunos ejemplares en eBay – aquí y aquí – pero sus precios, tal y como cabía esperar, son más que prohibitivos.

Desde niño había deseado ser diseñador de zapatos y al recibir un libro de Roger Vivier y comprobar que podía ser un medio de vida decidió lo que quería ser, quería ser el hombre cuyas creaciones hicieran perder el sentido a miles de millones de mujeres alrededor del mundo, y años después puede decirse que lo ha conseguido, sí, Christian Louboutin lo ha conseguido.

Mucho trabajo, tesón y un poco de suerte han llevado a este francés a alzarse como uno de los diseñadores de zapatos más prestigiosos del momento, pero su sueño va más allá, tanto es así que en cada una de sus cinco casas – París, Egipto, Portugal, Los Angeles y la campiña francesa son sus ubicaciones – están repletas de pares de sus ya míticos zapatos de suela roja.

Las flores y las plantas son otra de sus debilidades y a la hora de ubicar sus casas nunca ha dudado en construirlas rodeadas de vegetación, porque en sus propias palabras «Cuando creo no veo colores ni formas, veo diferentes tipos de plantas superponiéndose unas con otras formando texturas y siluetas», una forma de expresión que comenzó a amar en su juventud y sin la que confiesa no sería capaz de vivir.

Bambi Northwood-Blyth es junto a modelos de renombre como Coco Rocha una de esas caras fácilmente reconocibles que aparecen y desaparecen del mundo de la moda a una velocidad vertiginosa.
Hacía tiempo que la australiana no aparecía en escena y la publicación bianual Rika magazine puso punto y final a este impasse con la difusión de estas fotografías.

Naturalidad, sencillez, espontaneidad… la chica de las cejas pobladas supo desplegar todos sus encantos delante del objetivo Cara Stricker y hacer un comeback como es debido, por todo lo alto.

Nick Knight reimagines Roy Liechtenstein's comic book for Garage magazine

Garage es una de esas revistas que llevan impresa la palabra arte en cada una de sus páginas y de la cual cada vez me fascina más su concepto, es tal y como ellos mismos lo sentencian «Una revista dedicada a la diversión visual».

Su último número cuenta con tres portadas, una de ellas, “Text, talk”, está protagonizada por Lindsey Wixson al igual que el editorial que podemos encontrar en el interior, pero ni la portada ni la editorial son una más, si no que además de contar con un fotógrafo como es Nick Knight la historieta que está narrada a base de mensajes y emoticonos de WhastApp ha sido ideada por Perez Hilton.
Un Roy Liechtenstein remasterizado y vestido con diseños de Prada y Versace, ¡Quién lo hubiera imaginado en los sesenta!

Garage is one of those magazines that has the word art printed in each page and of which I am more fascinated of, in their own words «A magazine about visual amusement».

Its latest issue has three different covers, in one of them, “Text, talk” more concretely, Lindsey Wixson plays the lead role as she does in the editorial we can find inside, but neither the cover nor the editorial are just one more, they were shot by Nick Knight and the small story it is told in them and related with WhatsApp messages and emoticons has been created by Perez Hilton.
A Roy Liechtenstein look-alike comic dressed with Prada and Versace designs, who would have imagine this in the sixties?

Opening Ceremony introduces its new handbag line

Opening Ceremony acaba de cumplir ni más ni menos que diez años, tiempo durante el cual Carol Lim y Humberto Leon han visto crecer su pequeño gran imperio que ha ido expandiéndose hasta tener presencia en países como Francia, Japón o Suecia.
Y ahora, exactamente una década después esta pareja de amigos ha decidido lanzar una línea de bolsos que consta únicamente de cinco modelos y que se ofertan en varios colores cada uno.

Desde el marrón khaki, pasando por el azul gasolina hasta el rojo satinado, estos son algunos de los colores en los que podemos encontrarlos en su página web y en las tiendas físicas de NY, Japón y Londres.
Unos diseños funcionales y hechos a base de materiales de calidad como el cuero o el ante, no me cabe la menor duda de que estos bolsos pasarán a colgar el cartel de sold out en poco tiempo.

Opening Ceremony is ten years old, time during what Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have seen the growth of their little but great empire that has spread its wings and nowadays has stores in countries like France, Japan or Sweden.
And now, exactly a decade after, this couple of friends has decided to launch a handbag line which consists of five designs and that are offered in some colors each one.

From the khaki brown, passing by the blue gas up to the satin-finish red, these are some of the colors in which we can find them in their web and in the OC stores placed in NY, Japan or London.
Some functional designs made with top-quality fabrics like leather or suede, I don’t doubt these bags will put up the sold out poster in a short period of time.
