Those lazy hazy crazy days of summer

Uno de estos días encontré estas fotografías mientras buscaba unas imágenes entre las miles de carpetas que tengo en el ordenador, son del verano pasado y nunca antes habían visto la luz, así que ¿Qué mejor que publicarlas ahora cuando estoy a apenas una semana de terminar los exámenes y dejar la universidad por un tiempo?
Pero hasta entonces y como ya comenté en la entrada anterior, el blog no recuperará su actividad normal.

One of these days I found these photographs while I was searching some pictures among the thousands folders I have in the computer, I took them last summer and they have never been uploaded before so, why not publishing them now, when I only have to wait one week to finish the exams and leave the university aside for a period of time?
But until that moment and as I wrote in the previous post, the blog won’t have its normal activity.

Hey soul sister!

Ellas son Elizabeth y Elle, para muchos dos desconocidas hasta hace bien poco, sin embargo al igual que le ocurrió a Mónica Cruz un tiempo atrás, estas dos jóvenes norte americanas son conocidas como las “hermanas de…” y es que ambas tienen algo en común, sus respectivas hermanas son reconocidas actrices de la gran pantalla.

Elle Fanning (13) es la hermana pequeña de Dakota Fanning (17) quién tras varias apariciones en diferentes series consiguió la fama en 2001 gracias a su papel en el largometraje I am Sam, mientras que Elle consiguió cierto reconocimiento dos años más tarde con su papel en Daddy Day Care.

Por su parte Elizabeth Olsen (22) es la hermana menor de las dos gemelas más conocidas de Hollywood, Mary-Kate y Ashley Olsen (25) y tras su interpretación en el drama indie Martha Marcy May Marlene actuará junto a la hemana de Elle, Dakota Fanning, en Very good girls.

Jóvenes, famosas y con talento, pero… ¿Gracias a sus hermanas? ¿Creéis que el hecho de ser “las hermanas de…” les ha dado algún que otro privilegio o por el contrario pensáis que tienen más talento que sus conocidas hermanas?

They are Elizabeth and Elle, for lots of people two unknown names until a few time ago, nonetheless, the same that occurred to Mónica Cruz years ago, these two young American girls are mostly known as ‘the sisters of…’ and the fact is that they have something in common, their sisters are well known actresses of the big screen.

Elle Fanning (13) is the young sister of Dakota Fanning (17) who reached the fame in 2001 after some appearances in different soap operas thanks to her role in the film I am Sam, while Elle gained some recognition two years later after acting in Daddy Day Care.

For her part, Elizabeth Olsen (23) is the young sister of the two most known twins of Hollywood, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (25) and after her interpretation in the indie drama Martha Marcy May Marlene she will act with Elle’s sister, Dakota Fanning, in Very good girls.

Young, famous and talented, but… is this all thanks to their sisters? Do you think that the fact of being 'the sister of…’ has given them some privileges or on the contrary do you think that they are more talented than their well-known sisters?

“Hawaian Holiday” es un nombre evocador para una colección y Stella McCartney sabía lo que hacía cuando llamó así a su Colección Crucero 2012 que fue presentada hace menos de una semana en un jardín de Manhattan.

En ella los motivos tropicales se entremezclan con algún que otro estampado como el de pata de gallo que estuvo tan de moda hace tres o cuatro temporadas, o las rayas, estas últimas en todos los grosores y colores posibles.

Pero la hija del ex Beatle Paul McCartney ha demostrado ser algo más que la descendiente de uno de los mejores músicos de todas las épocas y ha conseguido sorprender de nuevo presentando algunas prendas básicas en colores como el azul klein o el amarillo flúor, ganándose de esta forma al público más reacio a los estampados.

‘Hawaian Holiday’ is an evocative name for a collection and Stella McCartney knew what she was doing when she decided to give that name to the 2012 Cruise Collection that was shown less than a week ago in a garden located in Manhattan.

In the collection tropical motifs are mixed up with some patterns like hounds-tooth that was on fashion three or four seasons ago, or stripes, these ones in all the possible thickness and colours.

But the daughter of the ex Beatle Paul McCartney has shown to be something more than the descendant of one of the best musicians ever and has surprised again showing some basic items in fluor colours like yellow, orange or klein blue and winning the confidence of the most averse to patterns audience with them .

Motivo: Presentación de la nueva colección P/V ’12 de Skunfunk.
Ambiente marinero al más puro estilo Vacaciones en el mar (Love boat) , una pasarela con agua, txalapartas, gin tonics, canapés y una inmejorable compañía... ¡Una pena que no pueda enseñar aún las fotografías de la colección porque la verdad es que me sorprendió muchísimo!

Reason: The launch of the new S/S ’12 collection of Skunfunk.
Seaworthy environment in the finest Love boat style, a catwalk with water, txalapartas, gin tonics, canapés and a wonderful company… It’s a pity that I can’t show you the pictures of the collection yet, because it surprised me a lot!

¿Recordáis aquella entrada en la que escribí acerca de un experimento con casi 500 Converse Chuck Taylor All Star?
La cosa es que mientras buscaba información acerca de los progresos del mural encontré este lookbook de la temporada P/V 2011 de Converse, y con ello descubrí a Tamara Liechtenstein, una joven fotógrafa que ya ha hecho algunas editoriales para revistas como Frankie o Neon y que a partir de ahora seguiré muy de cerca en su Flickr y Tumblr.

Do you remember the post I wrote about an experiment with almost 500 Converse Chuck Taylor All Star?
The fact is that while I was searching for some more information about the progress of the canvas I found this S/S 2011 Converse lookbook, and I also discovered a great photographer, Tamara Liechtenstein, a young girl that has shot some editorials for magazines like Frankie or Neon and whose Flickr and Tumblr have thousands of visits and comments, and which I will follow from this moment on.

Llevamos un tiempo viéndolos en diferentes webs y blogs de street style, son muchas las egobloggers que ya tienen el suyo, pero mi pregunta es ¿Con cuál os quedáis?

Las Grid Girls acompañadas por Estefanía Luyk lucieron los novedosos diseños creados por Ana en el pasado Gran Premio de España – Montmeló, pero esto no queda aquí y es que las azafatas vestirán de igual manera en otros tres grandes premios más donde el Banco Santander es el patrocinador principal, Reino Unido, Alemania e Italia.

Y digo yo, ¿Ahora quién se va a perder un GP de Fórmula 1?
